Welcome to the Greater Fairfield Board of REALTORS

I am honored to serve as your 2010 Greater Fairfield Board of REALTORS President. In my 28 years of being a REALTOR, I have seen many changes in the industry. We have seen the most rapid change in the past few years, centered around how consumers have transformed. The internet and the availability of information have permanently changed our role and the value we need to provide to them during the home sale or home buying process.

This drastic evolution has highlighted the necessity for REALTORS to be even more knowledgeable, professional and consultative in working with consumers. In 2010, there will be more access to education relating to increasing your value with your clients and a focusing on the technology that many of them are using on a day-to-day basis.

I encourage you to get the most from your Board membership by actively participating in our general board meetings, educational sessions and various committees that serve to support and grow the Greater Fairfield Board of REAL.TORS. Participation not only increases your awareness, it also connects you to other REALTORS that freely volunteer their time and expertise to make our Board a stronger organization. Developing those important relationships better equips us to deal with the changes that will continue to take place.

I look forward to leading you in this exciting year!

Regards,

Melissa Riley
2010 GFBOR President
